An excerpt from previous naturopathy assignments HLT60512. Provide a brief, one-line description of what makes up the following six levels of organisation in the human body.
| Six levels of Organisation of the Human Body
(AIAS, 2018) |
|
| Chemical Level | Atoms and molecules including oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen |
| Cellular Level | Cells which perform specialised functions e.g. muscle cells create movement |
| Tissue Level | Tissue performing specialised functions such as muscle, nervous, epithelial and connective tissue |
| Organ Level | Organs consist of two or more types of primary tissue e.g. the stomach which has nervous, epithelial, connective, and muscle tissue. |
| Body Systems Level
|
The body systems are not separate from the whole, however are classified according to their function, such as the cardiovascular system’s role which is to circulate blood around the body. |
| Organism Level | All the parts of the body functioning with one another constitute the total organism |
