The musculoskeletal system regulates temperature, provides structure, and movement, and essential minerals for the bodies functions; such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, silica, and other minerals. It provides safety, structure and protection to all organs. Muscles are involved in functional movement and also in bodily processes via the (unconscious) actions of smooth muscles involved tasks such as digestion and heart functions ATP is the muscles energy source and function.
